Wildflowers Studio, Studio Manager and Art Teacher, Essex Junction VT, October 2016-current

Facilitating open ended creative play for children ranging in ages 18 months to 12 years old. Teaching style is based on the Reggio Emilia Approach. Planning and Designing STEAM lessons based on the State of Vermont Standards. Maintaining a clean organized young makers space for young minds to bloom.

Enosburg Elementary School, Art Teacher and Arts Enrichment Coordinator, Enosburg Falls, VT August 2010 – April 2013
Taught art to pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students. Planned integrated arts activities based of the Vermont Standards and Grade Expectations. Assessed students’ work, behavior and participation in group and class activities. Integrated technology into the art room through the use of smart boards and iPads. Worked with small groups of students throughout the school day on Arts Enrichment and Adaptive Arts. Coordinated and coached an Odyssey of the Mind team. Oversaw the kindergarten and first grade lunch once per week. Created new school wide enrichment activities. Coordinated school assemblies based on art, social studies, and reading curriculum.

Attended to groups of children during indoor and outdoor play. Worked with a team of teachers to ensure safety outside of school property during outings.

Implemented art instruction to students in grades K-5, planed an art activity based on patterns found in fabric and clothing in different cultures, assisted cooperating teacher with lesson plans, classroom management and assessment and covered recess duty as needed.

Taught art to Burlington High School students. Planned art units and lessons on figure drawing, collage, and altered books based on the Vermont Standards.
